Expanding the intersection of recovery and faith
A new conference event…
In mid-October, Two Eight was a principal partner in planning and producing the inaugural Indiana Recovery and Faith Conference. The event’s purpose is to bring the church community into greater partnership with the various mental health and addiction recovery agencies in the state.
With speakers from over a dozen agencies as well as elected officials from Indiana’s state government and judicial system, the event brought attendees from 17 different cities representing 14 counties across the state.
The attendees were able to make great connections with others in the State who are passionate about the nexus of faith and recovery.
Friday night opened with a night of worship (from the Two Eight band, of course), and Saturday featured main session talks from elected officials and agency leaders. We saw a lot of great connections being made, and we’re hoping this will become a yearly event! Thank you for helping us pioneer innovative events like this, which simply would not be possible without your support.
Two Eight’s annual “GIVING TUESDAY” live stream event coming up on Dec 3rd!
Giving Tuesday is a global movement dedicated to giving back, celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Each year Two Eight does a live stream event online to showcase the work that we do and share some of our most urgent needs as an organization.
